Darius,
Andy MacKay's Plone book is a good place to start for Plone in
general. PrimaGIS has a good demo application, and the setup script
makes a good example of how to script the creation of PrimaGIS
objects. The GDAL library will be your friend, so study up on ogr2ogr
and gdal_translate. PrimaGIS uses the Mochikit Javascript library,
and you should check that out if you are into AJAX programming.
Most of all, feel free to ask lots of questions and help out with
answers when you can.
cheers,
Sean
