[Community] SVN libspatialindex revision 186 trunk has no configure or make files

After I checked out the latest trunk of libspatialindex I noticed the
commands './configure; make; make install' weren't working because there is
no configure script or make file. Is it supposed to be like this? Do I need
to regenerate configure scripts using configure.ac file? If so, how do I do
that?
